Terms and conditions

The KHDA approval of the appointment of the manager of a Training Institute is subject to the following:
  • KHDA Educational Services Permit and the commercial license must be valid at the time of submitting the application for this service
  • The manager must possess full legal capacity, be of good conduct and reputation, and not have been convicted of a felony or any other crime that affects honour or trustworthiness, even if he has been rehabilitated or pardoned.
  • The manager must be proven, to the satisfaction of the KHDA, to be qualified to manage the training institute and supervise its training programmes.
  • The manager of a training institute will be responsible for all aspects of managing and supervising the institute. Specifically, he will be responsible for:
    • supervising the technical and administrative staff
    • managing learners' affairs, especially regarding their enrolment, training, and addressing their complaints
    • communicating with the KHDA, providing it with data and information, and responding to its enquiries within prescribed timeframes
    • taking the necessary steps to establish a quality assurance process for the training institute and
    • ensuring compliance by the training institute with the provisions of the resolution and the resolutions issued in pursuance thereof
  • When the position of manager becomes vacant, the training institute must notify the KHDA of the vacancy within ten (10) working days from the date it occurs. The training institute must, within sixty (60) days of the vacancy, appoint a new manager who meets the requirements specified in the article, and this grace period may be extended if the training institute has substantial grounds for such an extension.

The process

  • Submit the application via the KHDA portal.
  • KHDA will review the application and issue a decision.
  • Once all conditions and requirements are met, the service fee is paid.
  • The new manager’s information is updated, and a No Objection Certificate, valid for 30 days, is issued to the licensing authority.
