Accurate self-evaluation by schools is recognised as essential for the development of high quality education. Also included with this updated version of the Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau (DSIB) school self-evaluation form (SEF) is an outline of the school improvement process. The information in this document should be used alongside the guidelines detailed in the UAE School Inspection Framework 2015- 2016, which is also published on this website. This year, schools are asked to respond to specific questions about their provision for special educational needs (SEN), early years (EY), innovation, the UAE National Agenda, social studies and students for whom English is an additional language (EAL). DSIB has also prepared a number of tools to help each school complete the self-evaluation process. All schools must complete the KHDA self-evaluation online document at least two weeks before their inspections. If any difficulties arise, please contact the DSIB schools liaison co-ordinator.
