In order to contextualise the UAE School Inspection Framework in Dubai, KHDA has produced the DSIB School Inspection Supplement 2015-2016 (the supplement). Contained within the supplement is information regarding the UAE National Agenda Parameter. This is a method to help schools measure and monitor their progress towards achieving their individual National Agenda targets. It requires all private schools in Dubai to participate in international and external benchmarking assessments other than TIMSS and PISA on an annual basis. Assessment is an important tool for improvement and, when measuring students’ achievements, all schools must use valid assessment tools that can measure student performance against the expectations of their chosen curriculum standards. The supplement contains information about the expected standards. The supplement provides guidance on how DSIB will continue to make judgements on early years education, school self-evaluation and special educational needs provision. It also explains how inspectors will collect information about the provision for UAE social studies in Dubai private schools.
