This report outlines the journey undertaken by the Dubai School Inspection Bureau between 2008 and 2015 in its pursuit to raise standards and improve the quality of education in Dubai’s private schools. It provides a summary of the analysis of key findings, which show significant improvements in judgements made by inspection teams across all key areas inspected. In particular, it shows that there are now significantly more students receiving better quality of education compared to 2008. The report also presents inspection findings on the following key areas: · School leadership · Assessment (with a particular focus on US curriculum schools) · Arabic as a first language · Provision for students with Special Educational Needs · Early years provision
