The Dubai Private Education Landscape 2013/14 report and its accompanying infographic provide comprehensive data on private schools and higher education in Dubai. More than 89 per cent of all students in Dubai now attend private schools. Annual enrolment growth for the past three years has been relatively stable at around 8 per cent per annum. The proportion of Emirati students in Dubai’s private schools is also increasing. In the higher education sector, there are now 52,586 students enrolled at 57 institutions in Dubai, which represents a 9.4 per cent increase from the previous academic year. The future of private education in Dubai is reliant on accurate data, which can be used as an evidence base for making policy and investment decisions. The statistics contained in these publications provide data on student enrolments, growth trends and a breakdown on the type of school or institution. KHDA acknowledges the participation of private schools, higher education institutions, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, who have provided the raw data for these reports.
