This is the second report to be published by KHDA and CfBT from the In search of Good Education series. This series is aimed at publishing information related to Emiratis in private schools in Dubai. With strategies of the UAE and Dubai governments geared towards improving the educational attainment of Emirati students and with 56% of Dubai’s Emirati students studying at private schools, more data and research is required to ensure that policies are appropriate and evidence-based. This report provides an overview of the facts related to the education of Emirati students in private schools. Key data surrounding enrolment patterns and trends over time are covered alongside an overview of findings from international assessments and school inspections. This is the first time that all key data on Emiratis in private schools in Dubai has been presented in the one publication and will form a key resource for policy makers, researchers and educators.
