The initiatives, which support the goals of the #DubaiDestinations summer campaign launched by Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office, form part of KHDA’s broader mission to promote a culture of lifelong learning. They also align with the Education 33 Strategy (E33), which highlights the value of continuous personal and professional development for learners of all ages. The summer programmes backed by KHDA are designed to offer accessible, educational and culturally enriching experiences for students across the emirate.

Reem Waleed, Acting Head of Learner Skills Development and Wellbeing at KHDA, said: “The summer initiatives represent KHDA’s continued commitment to fostering lifelong learning and supporting the development of our community. Whether through entrepreneurship programmes, inclusive activities, or internships, we are proud to work with our partners to provide opportunities that empower learners at every stage of their journey. These programmes also align with our E33 strategy, which seeks to inspire a growth mindset and create pathways for learners to thrive, both in school and in life. They also complement the goals of the #DubaiDestinations summer campaign by enriching the summer break with a diverse range of engaging and meaningful activities.”

The KHDA-backed initiatives and programmes include:
The CEO Under Our Roof programme, a two-week camp held in collaboration with the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University. The programme introduces students to entrepreneurship through hands-on workshops and family-led projects. Students will gain practical business experience by working alongside their families on activities such as building an app, pitching their start-ups, and seeking funding. The programme will foster creativity, teamwork, and business acumen in the next generation of leaders.
InternDXB, one of the E33 game changer initiatives designed to bridge the gap between education and employment. Aligned with D33 objectives, it provides youth with valuable, real-world experience at organisations such as Strategy&, Chalhoub Group, and PwC. The initiative empowers young talent with the skills necessary to succeed in the workforce, while also contributing to the growth and development of the companies hosting them. The programme aims to provide impactful learning experiences through innovation-focused, results-driven projects that prepare students for future success.

Ferjan Dubai Summer Camp, a KHDA-sponsored initiative that offers children aged four to 15 a blend of fun, education, and cultural immersion. Led by young Emirati talents, the camp features skill-building workshops in arts, sports, and entrepreneurship, while promoting traditional Emirati values. Students will also take part in hands-on activities such as engaging with Dubai’s emergency services and operating their own small businesses.

Dubai Club for People of Determination’s summer programme, an initiative that offers recreational, educational, and sports activities for people of determination. Running from 23 June to 1 August, 2025, the programme promotes community inclusion and skill development, with full accessibility support, including sign language interpreters. KHDA support for this initiative is aligned with the UAE’s Year of Community 2025 mission to champion inclusive educational opportunities for all learners.

KHDA is also launching a social media campaign designed to highlight how students across Dubai are spending their summer. The campaign will share engaging stories and feature advice on how families can make the most of their summer break, with a focus on learning opportunities and activities that help students stay busy and engaged. From educational programmes to fun activities, the campaign provides families with a variety of options for enriching their summer.
