Required Documents

Phase One:
  1. Land allocation plan and lease or ownership agreement for the new site
  2. Relocation plan
  3. Draft letter to parents notifying them of the school's plan to move to a new location
Phase Two:
  1. Certificate of conformity with preventive safety requirements by Dubai Civil Defence
  2. Building Completion Certificate issued by Dubai Municipality or relevant licensing authorities
  3. School Clinic Licence issued by Dubai Health Authority

Terms and Conditions

  1. KHDA Educational Services Permit and the license must be valid at the time of submitting the application for this service.
  2. The school must prepare formal communication to inform parents about the relocation and submit it to KHDA for review and approval before dissemination.
  3. The new premises must comply with the KHDA approved academic building.
  4. The relocation should be scheduled during a term or semester break or the summer holiday at the end of the academic year to avoid disruption to learning.
  5. The building must be prepared no later than one month prior to the relocation date.
  6. After receiving KHDA approval, the school must update all signage, publications, and advertising or marketing materials to reflect the new address.

The Process

  • Step 1: Submit the relocation application via the KHDA e-services portal, including all necessary requirements and approvals for Phase One.
  • Step 2: KHDA reviews the application and issue an Initial Approval letter upon approval.
  • Step 3: The school can inform parents about the new location and complete the necessary procedures with the relevant government authorities.
  • Step 4: Submit Phase Two documents once the new premises are ready and Coordinate with KHDA for a site visit by the compliance team.
  • Step 5: KHDA’s compliance team verifies that the location fulfils all standards.
  • Step 6: Once confirmed, the school pays the service fees.
  • Step 7: The Educational Services Permit is updated to reflect the new location.
Note: A No Objection Certificate may be issued upon request for an additional fee of AED 500.
