Terms and conditions

  • The KHDA Educational Services Permit and the school’s Commercial Licence must be valid at the time of submitting the application for this service.
  • All approved activities must be in line with the Executive Council Resolution No. (2) of 2017 Regulating Private Schools in the Emirate of Dubai. 
  • Activities must  not conflict with the UAE’s culture, traditions and/or the principles of Islam, nor promote  any other religion.   
  • All non-educational and extra-curricular activities must be optional for students. 
  • In case there are amendments to the approved activities like the date or the activity itself, the school must  submit a new request specifying  the amendments. 
  • Third-party providers must be approved and licensed by the respective government authorities to conduct the relevant activities. 
  • The school must ensure that all relevant aspects — including, but not limited to, health and safety — are in place, and remains responsible for them regardless of whether the activity  is conducted  directly by the school or through a third party.
  • If an activity or event involves collecting donations for charitable purposes, the school must attach an electronic approval letter issued by the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai
  • Schools must follow KHDA Guidelines for School Trips and Events published on the KHDA website.
  • Schools intending to organise events or activities that involve performing the national anthem of another country, raising flags of foreign nations, or displaying images or symbols of foreign leaders or figures must apply for an exemption from the Ministry of Education. This is done by completing the dedicated form, in accordance with Circular No. (1) of 2022, and emailing it to rpc@khda.gov.ae.

The process

  • Submit the application via the KHDA portal.
  • KHDA reviews the request and issues a decision.
  • Pay the activity/programme approval fee once all required conditions are met.
  • Once approved, the official approval for the programme or activity is issued.
