Phase 1:

  1. Building plan approved by Dubai Municipality or the relevant licensing authorities

Phase 2:

  1. Completion certificate issued by Dubai Municipality or the relevant licensing authorities.
  2. Certificate of conformity with preventive safety requirements from the Dubai Civil Defence

Terms and Conditions

  1. The KHDA Educational Services Permit and the License must be valid at the time of submitting the application for this service.
  2. The new building must be completed and fully adhere to the health and safety standards set by the relevant authorities.
  3. The new location must comply with the Centre’s Education and Care Plan or a submitted transitional plan.
  4. Relocation to the new building can only happen after receiving final approval from KHDA and securing all necessary approvals from relevant authorities.
  5. The move must occur during term breaks or the end-of-academic-year break.
  6. The proposed premises must be appropriate for the centre’s current age group or any other age groups that are planned.
  7. The premises must continuously comply with all building, health and safety requirements during the validity of the Permit.
  8. The Centre’s name must be visible in both Arabic and English on the external facade of the new premises.

The Process

  • Step 1: Submit the relocation application, along with the Phase 1 requirements, through the KHDA e-services portal.
  • Step 2: KHDA reviews the application and issues an Initial Approval to the Permit Owner.
  • Step 3: Once the new premises are ready, the Centre shall notify KHDA of the building’s readiness and send the Phase 2 documents to rpc@khda.gov.ae.
  • Step 4: KHDA’s compliance team visits and confirms the building's readiness, ensuring that all necessary approvals from relevant authorities have been obtained.
  • Step 5: Upon successful inspection, KHDA issues a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to the relevant licensing authority. The NOC remains valid for 30 days from the date of issuance.
  • Step 6: KHDA updates the KHDA Educational Services Permit with the new location details, aligning it with the updated commercial licence.
