This service allows Early Childhood Centres (ECCs) in Dubai to update their approved age group by modifying the age range they serve.

20 working days. The processing period of 20 working days begins once KHDA has received all required documents.

• Updated Education and Care Plan

• The KHDA Educational Services Permit and the Commercial Licence must be valid at the time of submitting the application for this service.
• The ECC must provide an updated Education and Care Plan that complies with curriculum standards.
• KHDA reserves the right to request any additional documents, data, or information deemed necessary.
• KHDA shall review the submitted amendments and issue its decision regarding the Education and Care Plan within a period not exceeding ten (10) working days from the date of receipt of the amendments.
• The centre must submit the required amendments to the Education and Care Plan within twenty-five (25) working days from the date of notification. It is permitted to submit amendments up to three (3) times. If the applicant fails to meet the submission deadline on any occasion, KHDA reserves the right to reject the application.
• The premises must meet the specifications set by relevant government authorities and be approved by KHDA.
• The new age group can only begin operation after receiving final approval from KHDA and obtaining all necessary clearances from relevant authorities.

• Submit the application via the KHDA Portal, including the latest Education and Care Plan with the proposed age group.
• KHDA will review the plan and notify the centre of any necessary modifications. The Centre has three (3) attempts to address KHDA’s feedback and resubmit its application.
• Once the plan is approved and all necessary documents and external approvals are in place, KHDA's compliance team conducts a site visit to verify the readiness of the centre’s facilities.
• Once verified successfully, the Educational Services Permit is updated to reflect the new age group.
