Self-evaluation – an on-line resource for schools

04 October 2010   |   Category: School Inspection

This new publication has been developed to help schools evaluate their work. Self-evaluation is key to on-going school improvement. From the introduction of the first inspection handbook in 2008, DSIB quality indicators were developed for Dubai which included self-evaluation as a key point of reference within the evaluation of school leadership and management. It offers important questions and a list of possible sources of evidence which may be used by school staff to review school performance against each of the quality indicators within the DSIB handbook 2010-2011. The on-line resource will, in many cases, compliment the approaches used by schools. It can be used by schools to submit evidence to inspectors prior to each inspection alongside accreditation and other self-review documentation. DSIB welcome feedback from school staff and other stakeholders about how this document can be developed to further support school improvement and school self-evaluation.
