The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) and the UK Department for Education for England and Wales (DfE) have agreed to provide concurrent DSIB and BSO inspections to schools in Dubai that consider themselves to be British in character. BSO inspections are carried out by CfBT Education Trust, KHDA’s strategic partner. Schools that are interested in participating in combined inspections should review the DfE Standards for accreditation of British Schools overseas. To be considered for inspection against the British Schools Overseas Standards, schools must complete the Registration document and the Self-Review Form. If approved for inspection as a British School Overseas, KHDA and CfBT Education Trust will arrange the BSO inspection at the same time as the DSIB inspection. Successful schools will be accredited as British Schools Overseas for a period of three years.
