Record growth for Dubai’s higher education sector

Dubai’s private higher education sector, licensed and regulated by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, continues to grow at record pace. Key highlights for the 2023-24 academic year include:
- A record 12 per cent growth in student enrolment since the last year, bringing the total number of students to just under 35,000.
- A 25 per cent increase in international student enrolment, with international students now comprising one-third of the total student body in Dubai’s private universities.
- Five new international universities opening in Dubai, further diversifying the academic landscape of the emirate.
