Dubai – August 25, 2025: More than 800 students across Dubai took part in summer initiatives supported by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), which included programmes to support students of determination and foster lifelong learning and personal growth for students of all ages and educational stages, in line with the Education 33 Strategy (E33).
The programmes, launched in July, provided students with the opportunity to gain real-world skills, connect with their communities, and strengthen their sense of identity.
The initiatives contributed to several strategic partnerships by KHDA to support a diverse range of summer camps and comprehensive educational programmes tailored to students of different ages and skill levels, reflecting KHDA’s strong commitment to empowering community members. These efforts align with the objectives of the E33 game changers – Life Camps and InternDXB – which aim to empower learners, develop their skills, and promote a culture of lifelong learning.
Reem Waleed, Acting Head of Learner Skills Development and Wellbeing at KHDA, said: “Lifelong learning is about more than academics – it’s about empowering students with the confidence, skills, and values they need to thrive in every stage of their lives. The summer initiatives were designed to build creativity, resilience, and inclusion, and we are proud of the impact they have had. KHDA will continue to focus on projects that strengthen students’ personalities, help them discover their potential, and prepare them for the opportunities of the future.”
Highlights from the summer programmes include:
InternDXB: Students from several private schools and higher education institutions in Dubai completed internships with various organisations, including PwC, Strategy&, and Chalhoub Group, where they gained experience in fields such as retail, consulting, and auditing.
Dubai Club for People of Determination: 200 students of determination joined a variety of recreational, educational, and sports activities in a fully inclusive environment where they built their skills.
Ferjan Dubai Summer Camp: 630 children took part in workshops and hands-on experiences in arts, sports, entrepreneurship, and cultural activities led by young Emiratis.
In total, the KHDA-supported initiatives reached more than 800 students, providing them with meaningful and enriching experiences throughout the summer.
As Dubai enters the new academic year, KHDA will continue to expand opportunities that connect students to their communities, support their wellbeing, and empower them to be confident, purposeful, and lifelong learners in line with the goals of the Education 33 strategy.
