Inspection Handbook 2013 – 2014

10 July 2013   |   Category: School Inspection

Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau (DSIB) Inspection Handbook 2013-14 refers to the range of quality indicators that will be used by DSIB in the school inspections from September 2013.

This year marks the sixth year of inspections by Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau (DSIB), and, to continue to meet the needs of all of our stakeholders, the framework by which we support and guide schools has been further developed.

Three aspects of the framework have been enhanced. DSIB has placed greater emphasis on how schools track the progress of the individual groups of students. A new quality indicator has been added to the curriculum section in order to focus more on how well the curriculum is modified to meet the needs of all students, including those with special educational needs. In addition, DSIB definition of learning has been renamed as learning skills with more focus being placed on students; use of information and communication technology (ICT) and this indicator was moved to the first Key Question in the handbook.

The inspection handbook is designed to support school self-evaluation and can be used alongside the self-evaluation tools which are also published on this website.
