Abu Dhabi: Final examination schedules for Grades 6 to 11 across Abu Dhabi schools have been approved by Abu Dhabi Education Council (Adec), Adec announced in a statement sent yesterday.
Mohammad Salem Al Daheri, the council's Executive Director of School Operations, approved the term 3 exam schedules. The schedule saw subjects and examination days distributed according to the volume and complexity of the subject matter.
According to the schedule, public school pupils in Grades 6 to 9 will start their exams on June 14 until June 25. Across Grades 10 and 11, both Literature and Science stream pupils will begin exams on June 17 and continue until June 25.
All pupils sitting for the Grade 12 exams in public and private schools, adult education centres, home-schooled pupils as well as other categories will mark the first day of exams on June 17.
These exams will continue until June 26 for science pupils while literature pupils finish their exams on June 28.
At private schools following the Ministry of Education curriculum, pupils in Grades 6 to 9 will sit for their exams starting June 17 through to June 21. These dates also apply to level assessment centres, educational care centres and the Adult Education Centre at the Family Development Foundation.
Home-schooled pupils and Adult Education Centres will start their exams on June 10. The exams will end on June 18 for Grade 7 pupils and June 19 for Grade 8 pupils.
Grade 9 pupils, on the other hand, will finish their exams on June 19, while Grade 10 pupils will finish on June 21.
For Grade 11 pupils, June 19 will mark the final day of exams for both Science and Literature stream pupils.
