ABU DHABI — A three-day Abu Dhabi Jobs exhibition, Najah 2008, the most comprehensive education, training and careers event, opens at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre here today.

Educational and business organisations gather at Najah to provide most comprehensive education, training and careers opportunities to students of the country.

The Department of Municipal Affairs supports this year’s Najah exhibition through a joint informational display and recruitment effort in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Western Region Municipalities.

Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, will inaugurate the exhibition along with Dr Mugheer Khamis Gaber Al Khaili, Director General of Abu Dhabi Education Council, the Assistant Secretary General for the General Secretariat of Abu Dhabi, and a member of the Executive Council of the Abu Dhabi Government.

Exhibitors from reputed universities, training centres and leading international companies will recruit new graduates. The event features expanded job profiling sections, a careers advice lounge and interactive seminar sessions.Highlights at this year’s event include a one -day appearance from the British Council, which has invited 50 United Kingdom institutes and universities as part of EDUKEX. 

It will be the only opportunity for Abu Dhabi residents to directly consult with representatives from some of the UK’s highest-regarded institutions and get feedback on suitable courses, the visa application process, and details of studying and living in the UK. School leavers and professionals are urged to bring their CVs to Najah, in order to electronically upload them to www.jobs.abudhabi.ae, the official online job recruitment web site in Abu Dhabi that is being exclusively launched at Najahw. With over 100 educational and professional exhibitors from 11 countries, Najah is the largest event of its kind in Abu Dhabi, with great scope for students.
