Dubai: e-Total Quality Management (e-TQM) college on Monday launched a masters programme: Masters of Science in Public Health (Excellence in Health Care Management, Senior Hospital and Health Service Manager).
The Excellence in Health Care Management programme allows learners to continue working full-time while pursuing studies.
"The impressive growth of health and medical services sector in the Middle East has created a critical need to acquire formal managerial and organisational skills to ensure sustainability of this growth. This programme is designed to equip managers and fresh graduates with practical managerial skills," said Dr Mansoor Al Awar, Vice-Resident of e-TQM college.
The e-TQM College has developed the programme in collaboration with Health Management Member of INDEX Holding Dubai and the International Hospital Federation.
The programme is supported by the Dubai Health Authority – Government of Dubai and has been accredited by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the American Academy for Continuous Medical Education.
Dr Narimane Haj Hamou, Assistant Vice-President for Academic affairs, said it is the first Masters Programme in Health Sciences that is based on e-learning and is accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
