Dubai: Fourteen US Congressional Chief of Staff officers visited Dubai Men's College on Saturday as part of a cultural exchange programme.
The team from the House of Representatives is visiting the UAE for a week.
Yelberton R. Watkins, Chief of Staff for Majority Whip James E. Clyburn of South Carolina, said: "Our visit is part of an educational and cultural exchange sponsored by the UAE Embassy in association with the US State Department. "This is my first time in Dubai. There's so much energy and excitement, it's hard to believe everything that's going on here."
The delegation was given a tour of the college, the IT and business departments, the aircraft hangar and the learning resources centre.
Dr Philip Hicks, Director of the Dubai Men's College, welcomed the delegation.
"We apply a model of hands-on learning. Our students are extremely competent when they graduate and they're picked up like hotcakes," he said.
