Dubai: Richard Hahlo, renowned author and education associate of the royal national theatre in the UK visited GEMS Wellington International School in Dubai and shared his insights with a group of over 50 grade 12 and 13 pupils.
Hahlo, who co-authored the famous book Dramatic events how to run a successful workshop, led an interactive session with students, demonstrating the right approach to job interviews and helping them prepare for successful careers in the future.
Geoff Turner, principal of Gems Wellington International School said, "We are delighted to have hosted Richard Hahlo as a guest speaker at our school. It was a memorable experience for our students as they got to learn valuable lessons on how to develop their personality and be winners all the way."
The GEMS education group will organise a "round square junior regional conference 2008" hosted by the Millennium School, Dubai.
The event aims to promote cross-cultural understanding and giving students the opportunity to have a look at different cultures. Over 200 students representing 15 schools from Asia and the Middle East will participate in the conference, under the theme "mosaic 2008 - colours of life," with an opening ceremony on Friday 19th December
The six-day conference will host a number of speakers including Aida Al Busaidi, co-author of the popular show "her say".
