DUBAI — The Dubai Police traffic department will organise a series of lectures under the ‘Back to School’ theme to spread road safety awareness among schoolbus drivers.
The lectures will be organised in coordination with the Community Service Department of the Dubai Police and Emirates Transportation and Services Authority.
Police officers who delivered the lectures underlined the importance of awareness campaign.
They also highlighted the main causes of accidents specially which took place near schools.
They said that most of the accidents were caused by schoolbus drivers who did not comply with speed limit and lack of concentration while driving. They said that some of the drivers were negligent and did not care to check if the road was clear.
The police also discussed the main traffic violations and fines and called on bus drivers to be careful.
