DUBAI -Middlesex University Dubai will introduce a new BSc Psychology with Counselling degree from this September.
This follows the introduction of its BSc Psychology with Human Resources Management three years ago.
The new course, according to a Press release, is tailored for those wishing to pursue careers in counselling and clinical related fields.
The programme will combine core learning in psychological sciences with practical skills in listening, assessment, and counseling.
It hopes to provide a foundation for further professional training in psychology or counseling fields.
Dr Annie Crookes, subject leader for psychology at the university, said, “ The addition of counselling to our psychology programmes is a clear response to the demand we have found for psychology since beginning the first degree here.
“There are a number of psychologists and counsellors working in the UAE and it has (psychology) grown into an attractive career option.”
