Abu Dhabi — Officials of the Ministry of Education (MoE) are working to set up a call centre to receive complaints of parents and students who face problems in schools, a top official of the ministry said.
The call centre will become operational by January 2009.
Speaking to Khaleej Times, Rashid Al Nuaimi, Director General of the MoE, said, “We are working to remove all the barriers between the ministry and the public.
“Besides, the new centre will offer more facilities. While the applicants will be able to find out the proper rules and procedures of completing formalities, the call centre will also enable the school authorities to inform the ministry if they need any maintenance services urgently.”
Meanwhile, the ministry is also planning to improve the health clinics in the schools. “We’ll coordinate with the Ministry of Health or the concerned authorities to evaluate the situation in the clinics and work to improve it,” Al Nuaimi pointed out.
