Abu Dhabi,H.E. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, received today visiting Vice Chancellor of British Oxford University Dr John Hood.
They meeting explored prospects of cooperation between the UAE higher education institutions and the British University in the fields of applied research and training and exchange of expertise.
Dr. Hood said Oxford University stands ready to advance education in the UAE and mobilise all its resources and expertise to develop education and scientific research.
He said Oxford would be happy to welcome students from the UAE in its colleges.
Around 12 undergraduates from the Higher Colleges of Technology visited the Oxford University campus last summer.
