Abu Dhabi: More than 500 Emirati students from Abu Dhabi, among those who passed the secondary school certificate examination during the 2007-2008 academic year, are on course for admission into institutions of higher education.
General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Education Council, has ordered the swift admission of the 526 students into institutions of higher learning following their successful completion of the orientation programme organised for them by the Council.
According to Mugheer Khamis Al Khuyaili, ADEC Director General, the initiative reflects the commitment of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to create a conducive environment for all students to achieve their dream of pursuing higher education.
