Dubai: US-based Michigan State University (MSU) inaugurated its campus in Dubai International Academic City on Tuesday.
MSU President Lou Anna Simon, along with several members of the MSU Board of Trustees and senior representatives of the Government were present.
Lou Anna told Gulf News that MSU will be engaged with the community, devising recommendations on public policy and providing commentary through research.
"There are many international students in the UAE and they have a plethora of opportunities. The UAE has proved itself as the new education centre for the whole region," Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs said.
