DUBAI — Dr Hanif Hassan Ali, Minister of Education, has thanked on behalf of the ministry the UAE leadership for development and modernisation of the education across the country.

In a statement marking the end of the academic year, he said the ministry and students were indebted to the "keen vision of our  leadership, which spurred the development and upgrading of the education, and the academic standards of students across the country."

Hanif commended the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for helping achieve unprecedented progress in the education sector. He also lauded His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and Their Highness Rulers of different emirates, for sponsorship of education, bringing it to the level of advanced countries.

Meanwhile, at a recent presentation of the ministry's Policy and Planning Department, Hanif emphasised the importance of partnership and cooperation with the private sector to support education. The event touched on the new technology infusion project beginning in a number of 'Madares Al Ghad-MAG' schools next September in cooperation with Union Industries Company. — With inputs from agency
