Abu Dhabi: Shaikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Abu Dhabi University Board of Trustees, granted Dh4 million to the 20 top performing high school students for the academic year 2008-09 who have applied to Abu Dhabi University (ADU).
The amount was given to motivate top performing Emirati and expatriate students in the country and to assist them during their studies at ADU.
In addition, ADU has allocated grants worth Dh6 million for the top performing students, scholarships and financial aid programmes for the academic year 2008-09. This is the largest of its kind offered by government or private institutes of higher education in the UAE.
