Dubai: The Minister of Education and the Minister of Culture have signed a cooperation pact to emphasise the national identity and social culture among the education field as part of the UAE federal government strategic plan.
The Education Ministry's plan depends on developing cultural skills among school students and offering learning outcomes that encourage social and cultural awareness.
Dr Hanif Hassan, Minister of Education, said: "All our leadership programmes target communication between the UAE nationals and assures their national identity with their commitment to Islamic religion and Arabic language."
The agreement states that both ministries will implement various common projects, conferences, seminars and training programmes that enhance national identity and social and cultural development.
Assistance
Both parties will also prepare common publications that serve family and social members, submit initiatives that support the purpose of the agreement and prepare statistics and databases with the assistance of specialised experts and advisors.
The agreement that is signed for five years also enables both parties to plan, execute and implement common bilateral initiatives and projects; to assign a committee that will disseminate and increase the awareness of younger generations with national identity; commitment towards their cultural and social identities.
