Dubai: The Dubai Outlet Mall has joined hands with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry to help introduce young UAE nationals to the world of business.
The education program, which is part of Dubai's strategic plan, targets 30 college and high school students who will be briefed on how to successfully manage a private company.
The trainees will learn the most important aspects of running a big shopping mall and tour the mall premises, to gain insights into the operational aspects.
"The objectives of participating in this program are to train the participants how to use their skills in the workforce and to educate the younger generation and students about the new ideas and concepts in the market to help them pursue their goals in professional life," said Salem Khammas, executive director of Al Ahli Holding Group, the owner of Dubai Outlet Mall.
Azzah Al Sharhan, executive director of the Human Resources Department, said the Dubai Chamber has also prepared internal visits to various vital establishments in different sectors such as tourism and trade, so the students will experience the real atmosphere of work and help them choose the type of jobs they plan to get in the future.
"Our aim is to educate the students about the various opportunities available to them in the private sector," Al Sharhan said
