Abu Dhabi — The Critical National Infrastructure Authority (CNIA), a first-of-its-kind government entity responsible for protecting Abu Dhabi’s vital facilities, has signed an MoU with New York University (NYU) to provide executive education programmes and career advancing skills for continued improvement.
The MoU follows the recent visit of CNIA Chairman Staff Colonel Pilot Shaikh Ahmed bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan to New York University.
The Chairman, joined by a team from CNIA, took part in a 10-day training session at NYU.
The agreement between the two parties will involve training CNIA staff to raise their professional skills to international standards.
Through the series of on-the-job assignments, CNIA managers and executives will attain the required skills to lead, manage, coach and audit their respective departments.
Staff Colonel Engineer Muhair Ali Al Khatri, Director-General of CNIA and Robert Berne Senior Vice-President for Health at NYU signed the MoU in New York.
“NYU, with all that it possesses in advanced academic and vocational training expertise, can definitely provide us with real advantages in terms of developing our training and management system, especially given that,” said Al Khatri.
Berne praised the collaboration and noted that the union will open new horizons for NYU in the UAE and GCC region.
