DUBAI — Careers UAE 2008, the largest recruitment, training and education event in the country, will be held from April 15 to 17 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Being held exclusively for UAE nationals, the event claims to transform the country's recruitment landscape by facilitating talented young Emiratis to get promising careers with reputed companies in a variety of sectors.

The event is being held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The eighth edition of the event will bring together the nation's top recruiters and thousands of job seekers under one roof.

Helal Saeed Al Marri, Director General of Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), organiser of Careers UAE, said, "The UAE government has initiated significant steps to widen the participation of nationals in the private sector, beginning with banking, finance and human resources.

"Careers UAE 2008 will provide the major local and international companies with an opportunity to tap the rich talent pool emerging from the country's universities and colleges, giving them the required competitive edge," he added.
