RAS AL KHAIMAH - Fifty-seven UAE national teachers for both primary and secondary schools, graduated with international certificates from the Institute of Applied Technology (IAT) in Ras Al Khaimah. Shaikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi presented the certificates to the teachers at the graduation ceremony at the IAT-RAK campus.
Dr Abdullatif Al Shamsi, managing director of IAT said: “The results achieved were outstanding with a 100 per cent pass rate in the IC3 programme and 11 distinctions awarded in the Cambridge Certificate programme.”
He commended the trainees, many of whom travelled from remote areas twice a week to participate in the innovative programme.
The programme commenced in September 2007 with 60 teachers from across the Emirates attending classes two nights a week at the IAT RAK Campus.
